This shoe is blissful every time I step in it.If you are looking for light(ish), waterproof casual sneakers, this is it. There are not a lot of waterproof casual sneakers out that there that are not rugged-looking/hiking shoes. The one competitor (as of this writing) is Vessi Footwear (Canadian brand) but boy, they run tight and not as stretchable as this shoe.I still prefer Allbirds as the material stretches which makes it very shoe-friendly to wide feet like mine. However, Allbirds is not waterproof, not yet anyway. In the meantime, for an all-around, travel, walking, casual, non-workout sneakers, this will absolutely do. I think in a pinch, I can workout in these as well but not for an everyday workout. Those are best left for workout shoes that offer better rigidity and support. On ballet flats, I wear 6W. For hikers, I wear Merrells 6.5W and workout shoes I wear Saucony 6-6.5W. This brand does not have wide widths so I had to size up to 7M for my toebox to feel some semblance of comfort. I had to do the same for Allbirds and sized up to 7M. I also loosened the straps to allow for more lateral stretch.I got the chance to wear it on a rainy day in the Bay Area and the shoes kept my socks dry. As far as walking, it was comfortable enough that I did not think about the shoes at all. And I noticed that the treading provided enough traction to prevent slippage, which I tried by purposely walking on Embarcadero's Promenade ribbon - the surfaces made of glass. I did not have problems walking on them while wet although to be honest, I was careful during my walk.Overall, I am happy with this shoe. It's nice to have an alternative to rubber boots, ankle boots and hiking shoes when it's pouring out. It's features make it a good all-around travel shoe as well. I recommend this shoe.I bought these because I wanted a sporty/casual waterproof shoe and this fit the description. I wasn't crazy about their looks at first, but they have grown on me some. They are pretty comfortable as I was able to stand walking around Atlanta, GA, approximately 7 miles a day for 3 days, and they felt pretty good. Obviously, walking that much in any shoe your feet are going to be tired, but these held up pretty well. During one of those three days, it rained and my feet were dry so I can attest to them being waterproof as well. This is my first pair of Sorel's so I wasn't sure how they would fit. I usually wear a 9 in women's and 7.5 in men's. I had read about the fit of these shoes and some reviews said they ran big so I measured my foot to determine its size, according to the Sorel website, and decided on what size to order from that. I ordered a half size down, an 8.5, since the consensus was they run big, and they fit just right.Overall, I like the shoes. They fit good, hold up to all day wear and walking on blacktop, keep my feet dry during rain, and go well with khakis, jeans or khaki shorts. My only knock on them is the color selection. I got the brown ones because their sole wasn't white. I don't like a white sole on my shoe. That's just a personal preference, but otherwise it's a good shoe.I have to be outside in all kinds of weather and my regular sneakers just absorb every puddle around. When I saw these I knew they would be perfect for running around in the rain for hours. Well, that was a good and bad thing. They ARE waterproof and kept my feet dry, however, they are VERY stiff. I hope they will soften up after time, but I felt like I had cushioned tin cans strapped to my feet! I should disclose that I walked about 9 miles while wearing them for the very first time, so this may also account for some discomfort. I also think that their construction is still very stiff to account for the waterproof feature. I would recommend them, with the 'warning' that they are a bit stiff.I typically wear size 7.5 but sometimes need an 8. Based on reviews I'd seen online it seemed that they run big so I ordered a 7 (green) and 7.5 (black). Oddly enough, they both fit well for me. If I had just ordered the 7.5 I would have thought the fit perfect, but I sort of liked how well the 7 hugged my foot. It wasn't uncomfortably tight and the 7.5 weren't loose. Both worked and both were comfortright out of the box. The color of the sole is an earthy cream/taupe which works well with the green shoe but I'm not crazy about it on the black. I'm going to return them both though because they just don't provide enough support. And at almost $100 I feel like a shoe should come with that. Because I'm returning them I can't attest to the water proofing but it seems that underneath the mesh fabric is a waterproofed fabric. I would think the shoe would keep water out. If I were to spend money on them in the future I'd buy the 7.5 in green. A really cute looking shoe in my opinion.Comfortable right out of the box & true to size. A little wider in the toe box but my feet are somewhat narrow at the heel & wider at the toe so they fit me perfectly! If you have narrow feet these may not work for you. The sole is pretty thick but I love the style so that doesn’t bother me either. The only thing that may not be great is the placement of the loops at the top of the tongue that the laces cross through. Only two of the loops were left unsewn; if they had done more they fit would be much more individualized. Would also be better if laces were a tad bit shorter; I double tied though & it’s fine.I work for an essential business in the garden department. I water plants much of the day. I was coming home with wet and soggy shoes and went on a quest to find a comfortable waterproof shoe. I had to kiss a lot of frogs before I finally found this shoe. I am usually a size 7.5 to 8. I went with a recommendation on this site and ordered a 7. While it is comfortable, I will go with a 7.5 if I order another pair, just for a little more room. My feet are dry every day and I am happy! I need more arch support, so I have inserts, but if this is not an issue for you, everything else about this shoe is wonderful. It is lightweight compared to other shoes I have tried. I would purchase these again in a heartbeat! These sneakers are just okay. They are true to size. Comfort level is 3 stars. They have a flat insole. Water repellency is 3 stars. As mentioned, they are NOT waterproof. They haven't made my feet wet YET, but the outer fabric stays wet as opposed to completely wicking the rain away. So, I feel it's only a matter of time before they no longer repel the water at all. I've had rain jackets like that. They really should be advertised as water resistant instead of waterproof. Overall, it's not a bad deal if you buy the $60 ones in red but I wouldn't pay $100 to get them in black. They are fine and comfy but I wore them in a 40 min rainy walk and my feet were wet from the top of my toes. I stepped out of them wondering why my socks were wet and then I checked the inside of my shoes and they were also wet. The water had soaked through.I was hoping these sneakers would fit and feel the same way as my out n about winter boot did. I got the same size as the boot but when I wear the sneakers my foot slides up at the back and gives me terrible blisters.Fait très long et largeTrue to size, comfortable. My first Sorel sneaker and I love it!
